Overview
A program designed for new Wisconsin teachers during their first years. Mentors provide mentees with support, ideas, and curriculum sharing. Mentors responsibilities include: contacting mentee on a regular basis, assisting them in FFA responsibilities and award applications, provide motivational materials, and sharing the knowledge and experience that the mentor has acquired and using it to help out their mentee.

Objectives of the Mentor-Mentee Program are to:

  • Provide Access to Information and Resources
  • Increase Retention Rate of Agriculture Education Instructors
  • Build Positive, Dependable and Supportive Relationships
  • Improve Collaboration Among Agriculture Education Instructors
  • Provide Professional Development Opportunities for Mentors and Mentees
  • Improve the Overall Quality of Teachers
